Conquest of Life

Mistakes , mistakes and more mistakes...Can I summarize my life into a single term...'MISTAKES'...her mind was coinciding the movements of her rocking chair. She lay with eyes closed...seeing her inner self.

Playing in the background was her favorite track from Jagjit singh's album...

'jo beet gaya hai woh guzar kyun nahi jaata'.

"To err is quite common in the lifespan of a homo sapien; or a human.Though Its degree vary from one person to another."

To learn from the same is a general expectation...general because there are a few like her who dont ever learn!!

"Why? Is the blow not hard enough? " Maybe..She thought!

What a complex personality...A well educated,learned person...failing to learn simple lessons of life!! 'You aren't street smart lady' she remembered her friends words!!

The striking clock got her move onto her toes for her next class! She had to lecture the young women of her club..her topic..."How to get the Hold of your life" 

What an Irony for a lady who had no idea where her life had brought her to...and from where!

"Dear friends...let me tell u a short story about my friend..lets call her Aasha..

Aasha as all other children born, had brought lots of hopes in her parents life..a cute smart and lovable child..but rather neglected...

Neglected?? or so she felt...we all do...dont we?? a little lack of attention and we start feeling neglected..and at times its genuine..tell me how many of us have all the time to give our children?? do we? even if we are left with any spare time...do we give it to them??

sorry dear ladies..my question should be...do we have time to have a child??

So my first request to u all here...yes request...please dont give birth to humans if you dont have the time to see them grow...when you invest in a mutual fund...dont you keep an eye on its growth??

Back to aasha...her childhood was full of events...obviously mixed bag of experiences..bad ones usually leave a greater impact! and so they did..but here i will tell u only about her life as a young woman..

She had all the guts a woman would not dare to have....with her high intellect she could impress anyone and everyone...the only unfortunate thing was...she used her heart where the mind was to be used...

and so lost the hold on her otherwise so envious life..

She struggled for her marriage and then she had a struggled marriage..

'Tie your life to a goal..not to any thing nor person'

Unfortunately she heard this in such a stage of life where nothing remained in her hands.

Dear friends a female is supposed to be love and care personified..But pl let me warn you..Please love yourself ! I plead 'Be yours first' and always...dont drift away, away in the storm of emotions that are so natural to us,females!

Living is a constant conquest...lets overpower before life does it to us and we stand helpless!"

Back in her kitchen she hurriedly lay the dinner table..Phew! She had just made in time before everyone was home. 'Ma'am can we know how you did it?? How do you manage life on your own terms??' 

The questioned asked by the short ,blue eyed pretty girl...was still on her mind as she served food..

Yes she had the control on her routine...she was almost perfect,rarely gave chance for her family to complaint..

Inside her...it was all broken..only remains of her ruins...her memories...good or bad?? we dont want to judge...cause the memories of incidents that bring smile also brings along tears of the fact that their existence are now just in memories!

She rocked her life to the motion of her rocking chair...trying to strike a balance!
